Jagadambika Alisa is a trained and experienced Yoga teacher with a classical training in the ancient practice and philosophy of Yoga. She was born in 1990 in Lich, a town surrounded by nature close to Frankfurt, Germany.
She finds a lot of connection and inspiration in music and nature and started playing piano at the age of 7. This builds the foundation of her current exploration of sound and vibration. She explores the practice of Kirtan, Mantra Chanting, and explores the human Voice, focusing on its effects on our body, mind and spirit, connecting to subtler planes of perception. During her studies in Mathematics (M.Sc) in Scotland and Germany, she discovered the spiritual path. In 2014 she left to India to learn about Yoga. She felt to be at the right place in the exact right moment. During her time in the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, South India, she found many answers to her longing for a deeper meaning and felt deeply touched by the experience of finding inner peace. Ever since, she explores the path of Self discovery and shares this knowledge with love and full attention, wherever she goes. When she first visited the Ashram in New York one year after her training, she received Mantra Initiation and her spiritual name Jagadambika. The Sanskrit name translates into 'mother of the universe', reminding her of our divine essence and the support that she wishes to give to the people she meets. Under the guidance of her spiritual teacher and inspired by her personal practice, she today shares Yoga Events, Classes, Retreats and Kirtan Events, opening the space to find our innermost home. Especially offering to take you deeper into the path of love and devotion, Bhakti Yoga, Jagadambika offers online Bhakti Courses and teaches how to play the Harmonium. She wishes to pass on the key to that flame of devotion that lies within all of us and spread the power and healing effects of Mantra Music, devotional chanting and sound. From 2017 to 2019 she mainly lived in the Sivananda ashrams located in the Bahamas, Colombia and New York, assisting Yoga Teacher Training Courses and studying and teaching Yoga Philosophy. While not being in the ashram, she shares the power of Yoga in Germany, Mexico and Spain and is open to any other place where the desire is intense to dive deep. Through her online community: the Bhakti Family, she empowers and inspires those who seek nourishment, connection and a spiritual community space with personal support.
